Journalism was never my plan, I just happened to fall in love with it at the right time.
About Me -
I’m currently a news producer at KOMU 8 in Columbia, MO,. I never anticipated going into journalism out of high school, I just happened to enjoy the one journalism class I took my junior year and decided to pursue it as a career. Now, I couldn’t see myself working in any other field.
Even when I decided to go into journalism, I had absolutely no clue what I wanted to do in the field. I started out with photography, then went into sports coverage before finally clicking with news producing.
Shifts can be very rewarding; reporter stories can pan out, script writing can flow incredibly smoothly, and soothing can go off without a hitch. Shifts can also be very taxing; some stories just never seem to make sense, reporter plans might change, mistakes on air can happen. I’m here for both of those shifts; I don’t bask in the great, I don’t drown in the horrid. I’m here to sail the ship as best as I can, and learn whenever and wherever I can.
My passion is producing, and I’’ll pursue it for as long as I can.
